LRC Ministry Core Values and Statement of Faith
The Foundation and Focus of what, why and how we do what we do is Christ-Centered. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2) Our desire is to focus on Christ in all our decision-making and character development. He owns the ministry and therefore knows what’s best for the ministry.
We humbly submit to his Lordship and authority as he submitted to His heavenly father (Matt. 22:42). Relational..."he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he designated apostles...He went down with them and stood on a level place.” (Luke 6: 13a, 17a) Just as Jesus modeled ministry by being with whom he ministered, we want to practice the principle of being with.
We best learn by applying our understanding of truth to everyday experience. This also places high value on individual gifts and ideas. As we serve together through prayer time, retreats and meeting, we learn to love and appreciate one another. This leads to long-term enjoyment, loyalty and effectiveness in work, while building community with staff, ministry partners and churches. Accountable so each of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12) “Submit to one another out of reverence to Christ.” (Ephesians 5:21) We all do better when others are watching, especially when the watchers are God and those that know us the best. We are to give others permission to measure how we are doing.
As followers of Christ we are to give a regular account of our time, money, actions and attitudes. Accountability in our prayer, Bible study and church involvement along with, family, friends and work are a priority. This enhances credibility and long term trust. Servant Leader “ Those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great men exercise authority over them. But it is not that way among you, but whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all.” (Mark 10:42-43)
LRC Core Values and Statement of Faith Christ-like leadership is born out of humility and sustained by modeling personal service to others. Great followers make great leaders. We lead out of influence and character, rather than our position and power. Others will follow when they respect and trust the leader. Entrepreneurial in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas,...and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting,
The Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.” (Acts 13:1a-3) Paul and Barnabas were apostles and pioneers of the early church. Under the authority of the church, in step with the Holy Spirit’s leadership and with an entrepreneurial mindset they established new churches and ministries throughout their world. In the same way we are praying for men and women whom God has called-- Christians who are leaders in their local church, who take Holy Spirit led risks, who are passionate and self initiators.
These are people who are already doing the ministry and will be successful with or without LRC Ministries. LRC Ministries will model this practice and accelerate the implementation of the ministry entrepreneur’s plan and vision. Systematic:
Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, saying, ‘This fellow began to build and was unable to finish.’ (Luke 14:28-30) Jesus is illustrating the cost of discipleship. However, an application of this passage is the need for thorough planning and execution of the plan. LRC Ministries is committed to taking new and existing ministries through a proven process of checks and balances. This system forces the ministry to address and develop foundational needs such as a ministry plan, board of directors, funding strategy, communication plan, accounting processes, technology platform, etc. We serve a God of order and, while there may be some interruptions along the way, we know that God blesses those who faithfully pursue a prayerfully crafted plan. We do our part and He does His part.
The benefit of walking through a process with someone who has been there is invaluable. Our staff, mentors and business coaches are committed to this systematic approach.
